Starting this meet up group was one of the best decisions I have ever made!  It’s hard for us to all get together at one time, but I must say that the meet ups, although small, have been a light to my soul.  I would like to encourage ALL single moms to step out and create the support you need.  Do not wait for others to provide you with love, time, worth and support.  You MUST take control of your life, emotions and examine your expectations of others.  To be honest no one owes us ANYTHING.  Think back on the time you were disappointed with someone.  Were you really in your right mind or were you overly stressed?  Were you struggling with your own feelings of jealousy?  Jealousy comes from feeling as though you have been cheated somehow and that everywhere you go everybody else seems to have it easier.  Jealousy is a form of insanity and is the ultimate form of selfishness.  This is one of the number one reasons that women have a hard time connecting with others.  The best way to overcome this insanity is to realize that you are not the only one having a hard time and that you are the only one who can change your life around.  The next time you want to make love to the emotion of jealousy say to yourself, “I am blessed, I am in control and I have unlimited resources to be and have anything I desire.”  Also, say “I was not cheated, I did not get everything I wanted, but I got everything I needed and I am here!”
